Video Analysis: Who Was To Blame For Newcastle’s Second Goal

The second goal was as self-inflicted as the first. No matter who is selected in our back four, we’re never more than a few moments away from a catastrophic disaster.

This time around the lack of passion and commitment was astonishing. Nobody has any energy or sense of responsibility. It’s as if certain players in the is side are simply going through the motions.

What I struggle with – in the midst of all this footballing fog – is what is wrong with the players that they look so disconnected, so devoid of any professional edge.

Someone mentioned that there sometimes are clauses “Club will strengthen in … position”, maybe that’s something Harry could have. I certainly hope so.

I would love if Harry Kane went to Levy and said show me a list of quality players who are coming this summer and a list of the wasters who are being shown the door or else I’m off to pastures new mate.

Great post. The only actual solution is to change up the squad to have players the manager can rely on, whoever the manager may be for next season.

It doesn’t have to be 10 out, 8 in. We need to thin out the wasters and strengthen the squad – even a little bit will help, if it would allow our best players to rest a little more.

Overplaying PEH and our other top players to an early grave is not the way to go.

You could make a case that Spurs have played more games than any other team, some of the

Spurs players had played twice as many games as some Newcastle players, Europa League and Internationals etc.

Also four or five players, Son, Reguilon, Lo Celso, Tanganga are not at their best following injury.

Kane, N’Dombele and Hojbjerg, and Son have been over used and their game is suffering for it now.

Then there is a group Jose doesn’t trust, Bale, Dele, Doherty, Aurier, Sissoko.

There is also the suspicion that there is a group of malcontents who are very obviously not pulling their weight.

Not a happy camp and when there is no unity among the players you have little hope of sustained success.
