Video Analysis: Who was to blame for Dallas’ goal?

By The Boy -

🌑 First, the ball comes down that left flank where Bielsa knew there would be good fortune to be had. So that was the ball in.

🌑 Then we were treated to what has now become a trademark Eric Dier move, where the Englishman is pretty much facing his own goal (surreal stuff) and then his thought processes are so damn slow/or he decided to let the ball run across his six-yard line (stop me if you’ve heard it)…

🌑 Next, we are treated to Sergio Reguilon putting out a foot, perhaps with a plan to kill the momentum of the ball and lay it into Hugo’s arms.

But that unsurprisingly doesn’t work, and the touch only serves to create a shot from which Dallas is on hand to blast into the net.

Conclusion: Dier has form for this, so he’s as guilty as sin – Reggie has been deteriorating for weeks now. This is a very weighty straw if not the final straw. Shocking decision-making, bad positioning, and shameful football from every angle.

Dier for sure is it fault here. And Reguilon. But mainly Dier. If sometime said he was on the take and showed this goal you’d be forgiven for thinking something was up, it’s so bad. It must be good to be a Leeds fan. Very enjoyable team with no discernible assholes.

I think PEH is just knackered he’s played in nearly every game the trouble is we don’t have anyone who can take his place

We got reggie as a flashback for the fullbacks when Walker and Rose were at their best for us. Centre backs not up to covering as jan and Toby were then and without a dembele replacement it just isn’t working.

It’s why Bergwijn stopped playing on the right after the Anfield game, we became exposed down the right. Too many easy goals given away and opposition know to attack down that side as we get pulled apart. Unless we change formation and tactics to.protect that side we are permently exposed esp if Bale plays on the right.

Story of our season our defence reason why Jose played us so deep as he knew that was where the problem was, £50m on a CB leader doesn’t seem too much now when we could miss out on everything

Dier, Aurier, Lo Celso, Winks, Sissoko, Davies, Lamela, Vinicius, Sanchez etc. None of these are Premier League standard. Reggie (recently), PEH (recently), Bale, Ndombele, Dele, Toby, Doherty are not top 4 standard. The remainder have moments. There isn’t a manager anywhere that can challenge for anything with this chaff in the squad.

He’s been dire for a while. Hopefully Jose will want him.

Bring back Ben Davies all is forgiven… I think Reguillon, much like our whole team really struggle when Tanguy isnt involved at all

Dier doesn’t learn. Thought initially the ball was just too good, but Dier just needed to put a foot through it.
Pretty sure I read an article where Dier thought he was harshly treated and people were picking up on the odd individual mistake……so he decided to serve up three in one match. Impressive!
