Video + Analysis: Does Heung-Min Son Need A Rest?

All attacking players tend to live on a knife-edge when it comes to conventional risk/reward ratio analysis when it comes to assessing their stats. This is why nobody in their right mind will ever chastise someone such as Harry Kane for his successful passing accuracy. Their primary remit is to facilitate goals being scored.

These two crosses show class. The first one (kindly note Davinson Sanchez’ cross on that first one), the second could have been an assist on any other night. Truth be told, I’m less convinced that Son is fatigued, or that he’s otherwise gone off the boil, I just feel that some parts of the THFC supply chain during games need improving. Dele Alli wasn’t of much use…

Yes good point, with the fullback overlapping and attacking he should be more involved centrally. Davies does it now and again but he’s more of a solid conventional fullback. Reggie is more a wingback, like Rose and Walker in their pomp…

Hope he plays more centrally in the NLD as Reggie will be steaming down the left.

I thought he was a bit isolated out on the left, he should have been given a bit more licence to come inside and pull the their defensive players around. He’s lethal in front of goal and loves running at goal with the ball.

Can’t do that as much stuck out on the wing…
