Daylight appears to be dawning for some fans who have suddenly realized that football is somewhat an afterthought for the English National Investment Company. Reporter Alasdair Gold suggested in a Tweet that it would be sell in order to buy at THFC this summer. As someone whose been following this club long before ENIC originally loaned the money to buy us, this is no surprise to me whatsoever.
The only finance that ENIC has ever arranged for ‘THFC’ has been for capital assets, such as bricks and mortar, be it training or stadium facilities, or a supermarket even!
Given the economic chaos caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, one would expect every club to be operating with immense caution until every club’s finances have moved out of what is a distinctly turbulent period.
A social media account picked up on the news, and solicited some unhappy responses.

Here are my Tottenham talking points, including Harry Kane, the huge transfer decision Daniel Levy and Jose Mourinho have to make this summer with exits needed to raise funds for signings, Ndombele, Sissoko, Lamela, Ben Davies and that north London derby. https://t.co/o71FzMi7iQ

Brilliant.
So well said matey.
The good ol’ ENiC 15 year transition cycle between one league cup trophy to the next. What a massive club we are. Cheese from the Cheese Room anyone?
This is all obvious. Alasdair Gold is slow, irritates me immensely, and could waffle anyone to sleep in two or three minutes……. We all know we need to move players on…. With a billion plus pound debt, and 5th highest wage bill in the league (We now pay our guys more than Liverpool do) we desperately need to move players on… We are obviously in transition with our new manager..
We’ve been 3 to 4 years away from being good enough for the last 4 decades.
The Spurs squad are worth somewhere in the region of £600m? at a guess, I cant be bothered listing them all and working it out, but of that, I would say close to £300m of it is in Son and Kane. You cant have 50% of our talent based in 2 players. No matter how good they are, teams need balance and depth. We need to spend at least £300-400m to balance the team. We cant afford to keep Kane. He cant afford to stay. I love Kane, other than seeing us get 3 points, him scoring is the 2nd most important part of the game to me. I want him to be a legend, but now got to the point that we cant afford to keep him, and he would lack ambition to stay. With good investment, well selected players and all that, we are 3-4 yrs away from being good enough to keep him (ENIC will not spend what we need in the one window – even if they did, that level of overhaul needs to settle), he will be too old by then.
So we don’t need to spend 20/30/40/50/60/70/80 million on a player
Faceplant
This club is on a downward trajectory. It’s going to be the Kane sale finances the 6 or 7 average player rebuild again….
Also, I want to encourage all the yids and other football fans to go on Peerless Reads you tube channel to a vid called: ‘Covid 19: Pregnancy and Sweden: 2 questions that could destroy your world….or save it.’
It’s really time to smell the coffee.
I’m hearing great reports about Kyle Smith Jones Cooper in the U10’s
Levy and ENIC will not hesitate to sell the family silver should a bid come in. I’d say feelers have already been put out as to what they might expect to get when the window opens. Bit like the punters who go in antiques roadshow. Get an idea of value, straight to the nearest auction room next day.
Remember. They have form.
hahahahahahahahhahahahaha
Build a state-of-the-art stadium with an aim to establish Spurs as financial and footballing heavyweights. Immediately sell the best player on their books, heroic talisman Harry Kane. It would be stupid, laughable and ultimately disrespectful to the club and it’s history, so can definitely see ENIC getting it done and then replacing him with 5 or 6 time-wasters.
Luckily our academy is a conveyor belt of talent.
Maybe I’ll take up knitting or crocheting.
