“Unless there’s a massive improvement” Pundit makes a bold statement about this Tottenham star

Former Scotland manager, Alex McLeish, is convinced that Antonio Conte will not waste much time with Tanguy Ndombele if the Frenchman is unable to improve.

The Italian is Ndombele’s fourth manager since he joined the club in 2019.

He has failed to deliver the performances Spurs hoped for when they signed him from Lyon.

The Frenchman remains one of the most talented players at Tottenham, but he doesn’t work hard enough on the pitch.

Conte urged him to work for the team, as reported by the Guardian recently and McLeish believes the Italian had spoken to him privately before going public with that statement.

McLeish told Football Insider: “It’s kind of ominous when the manager’s coming out with a statement, especially publicly.

“You would try and address it with the player himself first in the dressing room. You try to guide him on what you think he could do better.

“He’s said something about work and him working there. So for me, that’s ominous.

“Unless there’s a massive improvement, then Conte is not going to waste time.”

The Boy Hotspur Says

Ndombele has to be in his last chance saloon at Spurs now. The midfielder can make an impact at the club, but if four managers cannot get him to perform at his best, then there is little hope for him.

Conte is one manager that has brought the best out of players around Europe. The Italian will try to revive Ndombele, but if it doesn’t work, one of them will surely leave the club soon.
