Two Serie A clubs are vying to land Tottenham Hotspur ace

When Hugo Lloris put pen to paper on his new contract with Tottenham Hotspur, it made it clear that Pierluigi Gollini has no future in north London. The Italy international arrived on loan, but with the 35-year-old remaining past this summer, Gollini will be looking for a new club.

A return to Serie A is in the cards for next season when he returns to Atalanta. According to CalcioMercato (via Fichajes), a couple of Italian clubs are looking to land the 27-year-old. The Italian media outlet states Lazio and Fiorentina are attentive to the goalkeeper’s situation.

When Gollini arrived this past summer, it appeared as though he would be taking over the starting goalkeeper position, especially with Lloris’ contract expiring in June.

However, with Conte arriving and further giving Lloris confidence, the France international struck an extension deal with Tottenham. Gollini will be on the way out this summer, and Spurs will be in the market for a backup goalkeeper.
