Trippier Quits Spurs And Immediately Fluffs It

There’s a good reason that most footballer’s social media accounts are run by their clubs.

Kieran Tripper’s first move after the announcement he was leaving Tottenham for Atletico was to pass his thanks to Spurs.

Alas, the poor boy inadvertently thanked San Antonio Spurs.

The gaffe was soon spotted, and duly amended.

Poor old Kieran threatened but never quite made it at Spurs. When he arrived he was Mr Assist, but the sale of Kyle Walker turned out to be a poisoned chalice.

Instead of getting a rather comfy job as our new right back, it was wing back hell and sadly he will be remembered primarily for making a bit of a fist of it at Tottenham.

If Juan Foyth and Kyle Walker-Peters are the answer, then one has to ask, ‘What the heck was the question?’ Neither have looked quite ready for the big step up out of the wings.

Perhaps Toby will stay after all, and the revamp of our backline will be less brutal.

Millennials love telling people to be patient. Most of them are still waiting to get laid.

I totally agree billytheyid. Pre season is so fucking important especially if planning a rebuild. (My lady and i play much better now we know how each other likes it?) Fuckall we can do though mate. I’d be stressed if THFC were putting food on my table. As they are not I just roll with it and hope for the best. Better late than none.

@ paul.. You are half right.. Poch works for levy.. And poch has done great so far considering the handicapping.. But any fan with half a brain is tired of levy. The man has always left us short and wanting. The game is about winning silverware. A snake rots from the head down

If our supposed outgoings take another couple of weeks then the Europeans leagues will have us over a barrel regarding transfers as they will have another 3 weeks and will know we are desperate to do a deal. The master negociator at work, again.
Poch can’t take much more of this.Part of me wants Poch to walk just to drop the bald midget right in it.

I do smile when I can be bothered checking news now, at the number of alleged spurs fans who think genius is the word to describe levy. Got would be a better one. Someone told me yesterday I needed to be patient. This is what we are up against. No I don’t have to be patient. The fucking manager wants players in so they can have a pre season, so the player understands what is wanted of him, and he can assess his fitness ahead of the season. So no, I’m not gonna be patient, this is totally the wrong way of doing business. Can’t help suspecting there’s gonna be a sting in the tail once our window shuts as well

Tripps played his way out of Spurs last season. It seems Pooch was as frustrated by his performances as the fans. Perhaps after that season he should join San Antonio Spurs !

HITC reporting that Josh Onamah is rumoured to be going to a German club for £10 mill. Extraordinary if true.

The price for Trippier tells all about his loss of form, but he was unsuited to play wingback. If we sell Aurier, we would have the money for a good right back, but I cannot see that KWP will ever be good enough. Not sure about Foyth in that position either. I doubt that Toby will be going to Roma, and also doubt that we will buy Zaniolo. Everything will go down to the wire as usual and much will depend on Eriksen. If he is only worth £60-70 mill, what would be the point of replacing him with Isco, for example. What is Alli’s transfer value now?

I kept reading and hoping someone here will counter balance the same tired Levy this Levy that. Poch works for Levy and with Levy and they both share the responsibility of composing the team. Maybe he can actual have wingbacks in a defensive position up the pitch rather than trying to turn every one into a winger. We have enough at the wide positions. No need for the wingback going so deep, there is no place for wingers to go. Then we keep getting burn on the counter all the time, then you all turn around and blame the guy who was ask to go put crosses in the box. That 3 at back is for teams with lousy defenders who want to stop the ball in the midfield. Our central 3 are always stretch with balls over the top an out wide.
