Trippier Agents Boxing Clever

Kieran Trippier’s future at Spurs is far from certain. The former Burnley boy had a torrid season and I lost count of how many metaphorical kickings he took after the final whistle was blown last season.

It is worth repeating for the umpteenth time that this current trend of ‘Some Cretins On Twitter Are Furious…’ articles are a plague.

An intern grabs half a dozen Tweets from half a dozen animated no-marks and suddenly the world gives birth to another unsolicited burst of flatulence from people whose opinions are landfill.

@GarySpurs_1999 (or whomever) wants Trippier’s contract terminated because he fluffed another corner. Fascinating stuff. No analysis, no insight just mindless outrage. This is valueless.

The Harry Hotspur blog understands from a source close to the club that the feeling is now mutual.

Players (Tripps included) don’t spend every spare moment checking to see what’s being said about them on social media, however they do get a sense of the mood out there.

More importantly, it has finally dawned upon Kieran that he is never going to make it as a wing-back.

It is to the credit of his agents (Stellar, the same as Gareth Bale and many others) that efforts up until now have been made to relocate the 28-year-old abroad.

It’s no secret that Daniel Levy will probably hamper any transfer to an English side, by demanding a bigger fee. That’s quite normal.

Kieran’s current deal doesn’t expire until 30.06.2022 and so anything that can be done to keep the fee down, will be done.

Can you believe it appears Arsenal have Levy in charge…£25m for a top draw left back. Would I be foolish to say, considering how derogatory Arsenal have been, we could get the lad for a steal just to piss them off.

Should have kept Yedlin. Fearless, searing pace, bombs down the flank all day. Yes, he’s got an error or two in him, but I think Poch could have made something of the kid, he held down a place in an overachieving Newcastle squad. Trips is afraid, timid; afraid of making the overlapping run because he doesn’t have the pace to get back. Serge might be a nutter, but he’s fearless too, some good interplay between him and Sissoko making overlapping runs. 9/10 Trips is going to pull up halfway into the opposition’s half, stop, pass sideways or back to Toby or the DM.

Totally agree, The amount of so called news outlets aggregating peoples twitter comments is at plaque proportions. It is so dull, cherry picked ‘what the fans say’?who who gives a shit. Thanks HITC, Sportslens, Sportsbible to name a few.

For me we had rotating wing backs for a reason. Rose/walker to bomb the lines against opposition that pressed & trips/Davis for opposition that put 10 behind the ball. Serg didnt fill the whole let by walker & tripps isnt cutting it. The own goal against cheatski was beyond embarrassing. But as I’ve said before. Cant think of a single player that wore the English shirts that had a good year

He’s not a good player, hence why he was second fiddle to Kyle Walker. Walkers performances dwindled and fair play to Tripper he took his chance. But, form is temporary, class is permanent. He’s been found out. Wants out like CE but nobody’s really interested.

Clubs would take both Eriksen and Trippier but not at the fees and wages they would command.

Most players at Spurs right now are more parts of an overachieving jigsaw that Poch and his staff have fitted together on the mid-table net spend rather than being World class individuals. The focus on the ‘collective’ has been the main reason for the squad achieving what it has.

With the exception of Kane with his goal scoring record, it’s hard to see any club in the top 3 or any of the major leagues feeling that a player from our 1st 11 would improve them to the degree where they’d double or triple their wages to get them.

Eriksen and Trippier both have a lack of options because of that and the fact that neither have been consistently good enough over that last two seasons…
