Transfer Talks Break Down And Fans Will Be Fascinated To Understand The Reasons Cited

By The Boy -

Sources in Italy understand that Tottenham’s ‘Operation Deadwood’ has got off to somewhat of a false start, and one door appears to have certainly slammed shut on Moussa Sissoko’s chances of exiting Hotspur Way this summer.

Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, relayed here by Area Napoli, believes that not only were Tottenham’s requests for the transfer to be excessive, but the claims of the player himself as regards his prospective salary were also off-beam.

What is infuriating with this particular nonsense, is that it was only said to be a loan deal, which one might have thought to be easier to construct than a permanent sale. Perhaps we are only hearing one side of the story, or more likely, were simply hearing what we’ve heard so frequently in the past from Tottenham in respect of player negotiations.

Sissoko is 31 now, and come the close of this transfer window, the Frenchman will be 32. Now is not the time to dilly-dally, now is the time to shunt the old boy on.

Still smiling at “Operation Deadwood”. Imagining some Enic minion taking it to Levy and him running with it

Sounds good. Made of similar stuff, i’m convinced Big Dunc has had a positive impact on mentality at Goodison, no t least with the development of Calvert Lewis

Pretty much nailed the mood H in fact find it hard to understand your calmness. Again anything to do with property seems to get done super quick-football side is clearly secondary. Beyond belief frankly and beyond anger. Don’t believe the Gattuso BS any more than the supposed links to any number of players. Each passing day without a resolution to the managerial problem only deepens this crisis and makes the club a bigger laughing stock. Again I ask has Levy had some kind of breakdown or is it just plain cynical saving money and waiting for managers to retire from their national posts after the Euros?

Mid table nxt season gio is poor no player likes him no player wants to play for him going backwards faster than a virgin getting his hole for a first time thanks to levy n the cheapest option I would love to kill levy or atleast pay someone else to do it for what he’s doing to our club total knob jockey

It is official now no sane and self respecting manager wants to come THFC and to work under Enic/Levy, so expect from now on the insane and nut job managers of the world. Where do we start?(Levy asked) how about The Italian nut job Gennaro Gattuso what you think Mr Levy Paratici replied and the search continues.

Gennaro Gattuso was Fabio Paratici’s preferred choice and he wanted him at Juventus before he left – according to Alastair Gold

Fecking Gattuso, has had several managerial appointments and seems to failed at everyone. No way do we want this plonker I would rather Mason stayed in charge, this is unacceptable.

The premier league is a step up from Italy.. Players that are money oriented all go to China now that’s where the big money is.. Any player signing for a prem club from Italy will still be guaranteed a great wage.

I’ve just read in multiple reports that finance was not the reason for the collapse… Pogba and Salah come from Italian league. More have gone the other way in recent years but these have been young players gaining experience or players in decline or players who couldn’t get in their respective first teams.

What a clown show. I’d rather have that Gasperini geezer from Atalanta, or Ten Hag, than anyone we’ve been “linked” with thus far.

Gattuso now favourite to be manager.

I find this difficult to understand, a very volatile character who has had problems at almost every club he’s been with.

If true this will not last long and will not end well. And his managerial record is questionable.

Holy smoke Batman.

Is it possible Levy lets slip ‘through channels’ the latest manager target he knows he wont actually buy … and then bets heavily against that person being appointed?

Rinses and repeats for a few weeks with different names – in an attempt to gain Spurs some more lolly.

Barney Curley would be impressed 😉

According to Sky Sports, Gattuso is Paratici’s preferred option. I suppose that he just recently resigned and became available so we’ve changed direction. In principal I have now problem with Paratici wanting to work with a manager he trusts but is this such a good appointment as Gattuso hasn’t really done anything noteworthy.

I think taxes is being used as the excuse.
Gattuso has become available and that’s the trigger.

He was obviously asking Napoli to pay Sissoko’s wages and a big loan fee and Napoli have told him to do one.

Unless Levy ups the wages, can you see that happening. People don’t understand the Italian tax system which saves the clubs and players millions. Very few Italian players in the Premier League, now you know why.

EssexTony

Surely Gattuso will go the same way then, unless he’s desperate for a job (and he needs to be to take this one).

No, he’d pay fifty per cent less in Italy, so Levy would have to make up the difference. Same applies to Italian based players, all this Paratici bringing loads of Italian players is nonsense, good for the gullible.

Levy is now trawling the pits of 3rd rate managers as no-one decent wants the job because of him.

Having said all of that, I wouldn’t be entirely surprised that more through luck than judgment he picks out a manager who gets us CL football and promptly declares what a good job he’s done. He’s almost the proverbial example of someone falling into a barrel of excrement and coming out smelling of roses.

Italian tax system, if Levy had bothered to take a look he’d have known this. Same applies to players, they’re better off in Italy.

He’s staying with us and if he plays his cards right may well end up as manager. Fonseca doesn’t like paying taxes, well I never.

All these Italian players we’re supposed to sign, never going to happen because of the Italian tax system. The clubs and players can save millions because of it.

Now this is being given as the reason for the Fonseca deal collapsing. More pie in the sky.

I’m reading this elsewhere. Fabrizio Romano has tweeted that talks with Foncesca have broken down.

Seems Levy’s trying to do it cheap and the new man says no.

The footballing world have finally woken up to Levy.

In the immortal words of Jamie Redknapp, whom I normally can’t bear, “they’re all fu**ing clowns down there”. I am pleased that Fonseca appears to have fallen through, purely because it shows what an utter incompetent Levy is, and that it also demonstrates that we cannot even attract a manager with his debatable track record.

I’ve said it twice and I’m saying it thrice….we will start the season with the same squad including Kane, regardless if he is sold at the end of the window…nothing will change, apart from more planning applications being submitted – I bet they go in on time…
