Transfer talks being set up between Jose Mourinho and Serie A target

Tottenham have been linked with a move for a number of top players ahead of the next transfer window, and a recent report is claiming that the Lilywhites might be close to landing one of their targets.

Timothy Castagne is one player that has interested Tottenham as we have previously reported, as well as a number of other top European sides with his fine displays for Atalanta.

He has been one of their standout performers for some seasons now and played an important role as they reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League this season.

Le10Sports is claiming that the 24-year-old is taking his time to decide his future and that his camp is being set up to have talks with Jose Mourinho and the other managers who are interested in landing him.

It claims that PSG and Leicester City are the other teams looking to do a deal for the Belgian this summer.

The right-back is seen as a fine option for Spurs who need to strengthen that position.

Serge Aurier has been Spurs main right-back this season, however, the Ivorian isn’t the most reliable full-back and landing Castagne can help Spurs solve their long-term problem in that position.

Castagne has just one season left on his current deal at Atalanta, and the Italians are also hoping that he may sign an extension claims the same report.
