Are you braced for seminal Spurs spend-up this January? Cos you really oughtta be!
Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge has told GiveMeSport that the club could look to sign a right wing-back, center-back, and attacking midfield player this winter. Fabrizio Romano has also recently confirmed that Spurs are looking at a new center-back in January.
I can’t help but think of that scene in Blackadder Goes Forth where Melchett and George keep saying “see you in Berlin for coffee and cakes!”
Eventually, Blackadder lampshades this by snarking “I hope their cafés are well-stocked. Everyone seems determined to eat out the moment they arrive.”
There are a good many Spurs fans who have already decided what they are having for tea. Given the unmitigated fiasco that ensued after the last window where we are treated to a £150 million war chest, I predict the New Year may prove at least as amusing.
