Transfer guru’s tweet about Tottenham target Dusan Vlahovic is very interesting

By Bruce Grove -

Fabrizio Romano is regarded as one of the most trusted sources when it comes to transfer gossip and so when he speaks, many people listen.

The Italian tweeted the following out today with regards to Dusan Vlahovic, one of the most coveted young strikers around.

What is interesting about this tweet is the fact that Tottenham was not mentioned, Arsenal and Juventus were but for some reason, Spurs are not included in the Fiorentina President’s thinking.

There are two ways to look at it, one is that Spurs are simply not in the running, never have been and it is just normal gossiping from the media.

The other way is that Tottenham has not attempted to speak to the players’ agent and have done the right thing and gone directly to Fiorentina to strike a deal.

I must say that the latter option looks unlikely, if the Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso had been dealing directly with Spours then the chances are it would have leaked already and if Commisso is peeved with Arsenal and Juventus, you would have thought he would have held Spurs up as a club doing it the right way.

It is all guesswork I suppose but for me, the fact that Tottenham was not mentioned by Commisso, I find very interesting and it tells me that we are not in the running for the 21-year-old.

No Dybala was the same window as Ndom and Lo Celso. Too expensive because of his image rights. He would have gone to United weeks before but they rejected him for exactly the same reason… My point was my sentence immediately after. “The problem is all established world class players wouldn’t want to come and play for us”… Conte and Maureen of course have player pulling power, but at Spurs and Roma they couldn’t have any player they want. Most top players would still prefer top clubs… You say ENIC refuse to pay the top money yet Kane Son Ndom Lloris are on lucrative contracts.

He’ll go to City instead of Kane since he’s 21 in great form and cheaper.

Have been hearing this for ages now. Been hearing everyday on positive news regarding Vlahovic, we look favourites to sign him, had positive talks, he doesn’t want to go to arsenal and juventus can’t afford him.

But we are no closer to an official bid or him becoming a spurs player. It’s the usual, talk is cheap which is Levy’s speciality.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Conte is looking at Scamacca. He was heavily linked to Inter last season. That said, Vlahovic would be a great signing. I’d prefer both, but then again I’m not Levy.

I know we nearly got Dybala then? what does that prove as you said we offered Ronaldo a contract? Conte, Mourinho can get any player provided they get the funds.it is never been the question can Conte or any manager have the player pulling power. the question was Enic/Levy owners are they willing and can they splash money to get top players my experience of +20 years says No and I stated why I believe that by stating their philosophy when it comes player manager markets.if you know different please share with us cheers.

Did you know we offered Ronaldo a contract before City and then United did on his return? The problem is all established world class players wouldn’t want to come and play for us… Conte will have player pulling power though because he’s world class and a winner… Ndom has sucked up 110 million in fee and wages, could have bought a world class player right there.

So much media spin who knows what will happen. Can’t see him wanting to go to Arsenal. Spurs apparently lining up a transfer bid in jan. City are said to be interested. I guess the lad will go to Juve or City in Jan for a big fee.. I hope we go for him though.. The Fiorentina president will obviously sell him in Jan, otherwise they get nothing for him. Athletico offered 60 or 70 mil for him in the summer.

That is part and parcel of usual spin. if you think Enic/ Levy will go and get established world class player you must have had different +20 years experience than the one I had and known for that +20 years.and if you insisting your delusions be my guest. I said so many times in here and I repeat again Enic/ Levy fundamentally believe the philosophy of hiring and firing managers are much better and cheaper for their business than splashing money for players. if you think that philosophy will change see me after the summer 2022 transfer window and please share with me your experience again.

I can see it already, we won’t get Vlahovic and he’ll probably go to Arsenal and do really well. Get ready to be slaughtered Mr Levy.
