Tottenham’s plans for a stunning new structure at Hotspur way approved

Football London reports that Tottenham has had plans to build a new amphitheatre at Hotspur Way approved by Enfield Council.

The structure is set to help with the bonding of first-team members, academy players, families and friends as well as the local community.

Spurs have been growing as a club in recent years, their stadium is arguably the most state-of-the-art in the Premier League at the moment and they want to stay at the front of things.

The plans for the new amphitheatre was submitted in August, according to the report and the approval was recommended last month by the planning department.

The club wants to get their first team and academy players together and they decided to build the structure.

In the application, they stated that the club needed to get the structure erected because of the requirements of their first team, the academy as well as their desire to keep working with their local community.

The application stated as published by Football London: “This application is a direct response to the club’s ongoing academy and first team operational requirements, combined with our desire to provide potential further areas for the local community across the training centre site.

“The proposal comprises the excavation of a small landscaped amphitheatre and associated access path in the existing grass meadow at the southern end of the training centre site.”

Enfield Council has given the club three years from when the decision was made to start work.
