Tottenham weighing up a move for impressive €12m valued Ligue 1 ace

Tottenham’s search for a backup to Harry Kane has taken them to the French Ligue 1 with a new report claiming that they have identified the highly regarded, Habib Diallo as a target.

The Senegalese currently plays for Metz in the French top flight, and he is one of the well-known players in the French topflight among the lesser-known teams.

Before the French Ligue 1 season was ended prematurely, Diallo made 26 appearances and scored 12 goals in the league alone.

Spurs have been looking at a number of targets to become their new backup striker to Kane, however, with the knowledge that they would never be the main man at the club, most strikers haven’t been interested.

La Semaine claims that Tottenham has made him a summer target, with Daniel Levy impressed enough to bring him through the door.

At 25, Diallo still has a lot of room for improvement and Jose Mourinho might be the manager that helps him reach his full potential.

Diallo is valued at €12.00m, according to transfermarkt.com and that fee shouldn’t be too much for Spurs to pay.

They have also been linked with the likes of Victor Osimhen (TalkSport), but the Nigerian is unlikely to want to become a backup striker so early in his career.
