Tottenham warned 25-year-old could play for PSG or Bayern Munich soon

By Saikat -

Former Everton sporting director Marcel Brands has warned Tottenham that Brazilian international striker Richarlison could soon move to a bigger club.

Brands signed the player from Watford during his time at Everton, and he has now heaped praise on Richarlison for his quality and selfless work ethic.

The former Everton director revealed that Richarlison is technically impressive, and he can play in a number of attacking positions. He also added that the Brazilian is an excellent header of the ball as well and his tendency to work hard to makes him an invaluable asset for any team.

Brands also hailed the passionate nature of the player and suggested that he could be playing for clubs like Paris Saint Germain and Bayern Munich in the near future.

He said to NOS (h/t Express): “He has length, speed, he is agile, can play in all positions in attack and is technically good. He can head exceptionally well, has tremendous jumping power and excellent timing in the air. He is also someone who works very hard for the team and still gets his return.

“Every goal he celebrates like it’s the winning one in the World Cup final, you see that at Tottenham too. That’s why he plays matches, to score goals. People often forget, but he works really hard. He is everything you want in a striker.

“He has become a man as a young player. He was already physically strong but has become much stronger and his will to score has developed even further. He could be playing at Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich as early as tomorrow.”

Spurs signed the 25-year-old for a fee of around £60 million at the start of the season and Richarlison has already made impressive cameos for the side. He will be hoping to cement his place in the starting lineup going forward.

The 25-year-old has scored some impressive goals for Brazil in the World Cup as well, and he will be hoping to guide his country to glory in Qatar.

It seems highly unlikely that Spurs will sanction his departure anytime soon. The player has a long-term contract with the London club and any team hoping to sign him will have to pay well over the odds.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has a reputation for being a difficult negotiator and it is fair to assume that Richarlison’s immediate future lies at the London club.
