Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly looking to replace Hugo Lloris in the coming months and they have identified the Brighton and Hove Albion goalkeeper Robert Sanchez as a potential target.
The 25-year-old Spanish international has done quite well since his move to Brighton and he has established himself as one of the most reliable keepers in the Premier League. Sanchez was a part of the Spanish national team in the recently concluded World Cup as well and he has a big future ahead of him.
According to a report from Fichajes, he is one of the three options Spurs are considering as a replacement for the French international goalkeeper.
Sanchez is reportedly valued at €32 million and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham are prepared to pay up at the end of the season. Brighton are unlikely to sell their star player midway through the campaign and therefore any move would have to wait until the summer transfer window.
Sanchez is still quite young and he is expected to improve further with coaching and game time. The Spanish international has the attributes to develop into a top-class player and the reported €32m valuation could look like a bargain.
Hugo Lloris has been a loyal servant for Tottenham since joining the club but there is no doubt that he has regressed over the past year and the French international has been criticized in recent months for his error-prone performances.
Lloris could still be a useful player for Tottenham and the Londoners could certainly use his experience and leadership qualities. However, Conte needs to bring in a new first-choice keeper in the coming months.
Sanches is well-settled in the Premier League and he could make an immediate impact at the Premier League club next season.
