Tottenham Hotspur have been extensively linked with a move for Albert Gudmundsson in recent weeks.
Tottenham have had a promising first season under Ange Postecoglou and now they are looking further reinforce their squad to help him take the next step. The North London club are looking to add more firepower to their attack as they look to compete with the very best for major titles.
Spurs have their eyes on Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson and their ‘excellent relations’ with the Italian club could help them acquire his services as per a report by Primo Canale.
The 26-year-old forward is a top target for the North London club and they are making moves to prise him away from Italy.
Gudmundsson has featured in 30 matches this season and he has contributed towards 17 goals. The Iceland international has 13 goals and four assists. His performances have put him on Tottenham’s radar and they feel he could help bolster their attack and depth to it.
Not only can he provide support for the strikers, but the Genoa forward is capable enough to feature on the flanks as well.

Spurs have excellent relations with the Italian club because of the Radu Dragusin deal in the winter window and the loan deal that saw Djed Spence join Genoa. As a result, talks regarding Gudmundsson’s transfer will not be that difficult for the English giants.
While there is a difference in the valuation of both clubs, Tottenham’s interest is well-established at this stage. Meanwhile, reports in the recent past have suggested that they could pay more to ensure they can beat the competition to his signatures.
