Tottenham Hotspur have finally sanctioned the departure of Harry Kane who has completed his move to Bayern Munich.
The north London outfit will need to bring in a quality replacement now and a report from Gazzetta Dello Sport claims that Dusan Vlahovic is on their radar.
The 23-year-old Serbian international has not been able to live up to the expectations since joining the Italian club and Juventus would be willing to cash in on him for a fee of around £69 million.
Vlahovic was regarded as one of the best young attacking prospects in European football during his time at Fiorentina and he could be a key player for Tottenham if he manages to regain that form and confidence.
A move away from Juventus would be ideal for the talented young striker as well and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham are ready to pay the asking price for him.
Vlahovic scored 14 goals across all competitions last season and his numbers are likely to improve when he is playing alongside better players in a more attacking team.
Ange Postecoglou prefers free-flowing attacking football and he could get the best out of the 23-year-old next season.
Tottenham certainly have the £69 million after the departure of Kane and it will be interesting to see if they are ready to sanction the big-money move in the coming days.
Although they failed to secure Champions League qualification, they are an attractive destination for most players and Daniel Levy will be hoping to get the deal across the line soon.
Vlahovic is only 23 and he’s likely to get better with coaching and experience. He could be the ideal long-term replacement for the England international and he could help sort out Tottenham’s attack for the foreseeable future.
