Tottenham Hotspur, looking to improve their midfield options with the signing of 21-year-old La Liga midfielder.
According to a report from Le10Sport, the North London giants are ‘vying for the signing’ of the Celta Vigo playmaker.
Gabri Veiga has had an impressive campaign with Celta Vigo and he managed to score 11 goals across all competitions. The talented young midfielder picked up four assists along the way as well.
He can operate as a central attacking midfielder as well as a winger. It remains to be seen with the Spurs are prepared to secure his services this summer, especially after the arrival of James Maddison.
There is no doubt that Spurs need to add more goals and creativity from the centre of the midfield. The 21-year-old Spanish midfielder would have been a quality acquisition for Tottenham, but they have already signed Maddison and Veiga is unlikely to accept the role of a squad player.
The 21-year-old is highly rated around Europe and clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea are keen on securing his services as well.
The talented young midfielder will want to join the club where he will get ample game time and a move to Tottenham might not be ideal for him if the North London giants are unable to promise regular first-team football.
Veiga will add craft, vision and flair from the central areas. The Spanish midfielder will chip in with goals as well. It will be interesting to see where he ends up this summer.
