Tottenham urged to make a move for Liverpool star “He is everything we need”

Tottenham old boy, Jamie O’Hara has urged Spurs to make a move for Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson.

Henderson is one of England’s most underrated footballers, he helped Liverpool to win the Premier League after a 30-year wait and he also won the Champions League with them.

He was a serious contender for the England captaincy before Harry Kane beat him to it.

The midfielder is negotiating a new contract with Liverpool, but in a boost to Tottenham’s chances of signing him should they become interested, The Athletic reported earlier that not much progress has been made in the talks between him and Liverpool.

Several clubs would jump at the chance to sign Henderson even though he isn’t the most technically gifted midfielder.

He is an inspirational figure who could provide quality leadership in the Tottenham dressing room.

O’Hara says he is the type of player Spurs need even though he admits that such a transfer would be very tough to pull off.

He said to Talksport as cited by The Liverpool Echo: “I would love him at Spurs. He is everything we need.

“He’s a leader. A character on the pitch. He’s a driving force in midfield. I would absolutely love him to be at Spurs.”
