Tottenham Hotspur could lose the likes of Djed Spence, Japhet Tanganga, and Bryan Gil when the transfer window opens next month.
According to a report from ESPN, Spence is looking to leave the club in January in search of regular first-team football. The former Middlesbrough defender joined Tottenham at the start of the season and he was expected to hold down a regular starting berth.
However, he is yet to start a single league game for the London club and it seems that he is not a key part of Antonio Conte’s first-team plans.
The young defender needs to play regularly at this stage of his career and a loan move could be ideal for him.
It will be interesting to see if Spence can secure a move away from Tottenham midway through the season.
On the other hand, Japhet Tanganga has fallen down the pecking order at Tottenham and he is currently the fifth choice centre back at the club behind Cristian Romero, Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier and Clement Lenglet. The 23-year-old needs to play regularly in order to fulfil his potential, and he is unlikely to get that opportunity at Tottenham.
It will be interesting to see if the London club are willing to let him go out and secure some regular first-time action.
Finally, winger Bryan Gil has struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular for Tottenham as well. The player has been linked with a return to Spain and it will be interesting to see how his situation develops.
