Tottenham to compete with three other English clubs for 26-year-old Englishman

Tottenham are all set to battle it out with rival clubs for the services of Tammy Abraham.

The North London club are looking to reinforce their attack ahead of next season and signing a striker is a top priority for them. They have been linked with former Chelsea star Tammy Abraham.

According to a report from Corriere della Sera, Spurs are ready to battle Everton, Aston Villa and West Ham for the signature of the English international.

Abraham suffered an ACL injury last year which kept him out from the majority of the 2023/24 season. While he is back fit and still has two years left on his deal with the Italian club, they seem ready to cash in on him. With Romelu Lukaku leaving, they need to bring in a top striker to fill his void. The 26-year-old’s departure could give them the needed financial strength to sign a replacement.

With multiple top clubs keen on his signature, Roma are hoping for a bidding war as they look to raise around €30 million. Tottenham do have other targets for the number nine role but those transfers will require a significant investment. While Abraham might have struggled with injury last term, he has proven himself in the Premier League in the past. With him available for a bargain fee, Spurs see this as a great opportunity.

Not only will they get a top-quality striker who can lead the line, but they will also be adding an experienced Englishman who knows all about playing in the English top flight. But, Tottenham will have to battle with Everton, Aston Villa and West Ham as they are all looking to add firepower to their attack and are closely monitoring the former Chelsea academy graduate’s situation at Roma.
