Tottenham tipped to sell four players to fund transfer buys

The coronavirus pandemic is set to affect how teams buy and sell players this summer and that could mean players being shipped out to fund transfers. This is because teams have lost significant money due to the economic impact of covid19.

Spurs would want to strengthen their team in the summer regardless as they look to win a trophy under Jose Mourinho.

However, the Portuguese manager is unlikely to be given too much money to spend and he will have to be creative with how he lands his transfer targets.

A new report from The Times claims that Spurs might sell up to four players to fund their summer transfer kitty, and some of the names might surprise you.

The report claims that the Lilywhites would look to sell Danny Rose and Kyle Walker-Peters. Both players don’t feature in Mourinho’s immediate plans for the club, however, they are joined by two other surprising names.

It claims that the club might also sell Eric Dier and Serge Aurier, both names would be surprising departures because they appear to have been favoured by Mourinho.

Dier has been shifted back to his preferred centre back role, and he has done ok in that position, while Serge Aurier has been a regular under Mourinho as well.

I have to admit, if those four are sold, I would have zero complaints. I do not regard any of them as Tottenham quality.
