Tottenham target may be dropped for pre-season as exit looks imminent

Calciomercato.it claims that Napoli is considering dropping Tottenham target, Arkaduisz Milik from their upcoming friendly games against Pescara and Sporting Lisbon as they consider selling him this summer.

The former Ajax striker has been a target for Tottenham for much of this summer as the Lilywhites attempt to land a backup striker to Harry Kane.

Spurs remain interested and the report claims that the Italians are keen to get him and former Spurs’ man Fernando Llorente off their books.

Milik is already inside the final year of his current deal at the club and they want to avoid losing him for nothing at the end of the coming campaign.

The report adds that AS Roma is looking to sign him and other teams like RB Leipzig and Fiorentina have also indicated an interest in his signature.

Mourinho is keen to add a new striker to his team and Milik, who has experience in the Champions League, is one of his top targets.

Napoli has signed Victor Osimhen and they have also given a new deal to Dries Mertens.

These moves will see Milik involved less when the new season starts and Spurs will hope that the lure of more playing time in north London will convince him to join them.
