Tottenham still interested in Serie A target but the signs are that there will be no transfer

One player that has continued to be linked with a move to Tottenham this summer is Arkadiusz Milik.

The Pole is already into the final year of his current deal at Napoli and there does not appear to have been much talk of a new contract being offered to him.

He is one player that clubs would want to sign when the transfer window reopens and Spurs apparently see him as the perfect backup striker to Harry Kane.

The latest report on his future according to Calcio Mercato is that he is still on the radar of Tottenham and Juventus and that both teams will look to land him when the transfer window reopens.

However, reports on Sport Witness adds that Spurs haven’t made an official bid for him yet with regards to a move.

This points to the fact that the Lilywhites might not get him, eventually.

Juventus also has a strong interest in the striker, and if they make their move, it is hard to see Spurs beating them to his signature.

One reason is that the competition from the Old Ladies would drive the price for his signature up and the fact that they will offer him Champions League football makes them favourites to land him.

Milik isn’t the only striker Spurs have been targeting, but their delay in making their mind up could see them miss out on all their targets.

The bottom line is that without Champions League football, a restricted budget and no apparent move for his signature, the chances of the Polish international becoming a Tottenham player are looking remote.
