Tottenham set to lose out to Italian giants in battle to sign classy striker

Arkadiusz Milik is heading to Juventus instead of Tottenham, according to CalcioMercato.

The Polish striker has emerged as a transfer target for Spurs in recent weeks as they hunt for another striker that will reduce the goal-scoring burden on Harry Kane.

Milik has been one of their top targets for some time now, but they have had to face competition from Juventus and Atletico Madrid.

Juve is the striker’s first-choice team as he looks to work with Maurizio Sarri again.

The Italians have reached an agreement over personal terms, according to the report, however, Napoli would have preferred to sell to a team outside of Italy.

The striker has just a year left on his current deal and he has told this club that he will not be signing a new deal with them.

Spurs are gradually losing all their striker targets. Victor Osimhen seems to be on his way to Naples, while Milik is also heading in another direction.

The Lilywhites might have to act fast if they are serious about landing a striker to compete with Kane.

Milik has scored 11 goals in 26 league games this season, that is not the best of strike rates, but he might become a better striker under Jose Mourinho.
