Tottenham are ready to sell another midfielder after agreeing a deal for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
In the last 24 hours, the club has agreed a deal for the Danish midfielder with French side Marseille, who will pay a fee close to £14m plus add-ons.
Now, it appears that Spurs are set to sell Oliver Skipp as well. According to Football Insider, the North London club is willing to part with the young midfielder but first wants to secure another homegrown player. This move ensures the club adheres to the Premier League’s rules regarding homegrown players.
The league mandates that each top-flight club must include at least eight homegrown players in their squad. If Skipp leaves, Spurs would be left with only seven homegrown players.
If Spurs can sign a replacement, they can then proceed with selling Skipp, who has attracted interest from Leicester City in recent weeks.

Skipp, who signed a five-year contract extension with Tottenham in April 2022, had committed to a long-term future with the club.
Despite his potential, he faces stiff competition for a spot in Spurs’ midfield. Last season, under manager Ange Postecoglou, he struggled to secure regular playing time, making 24 appearances across all competitions but starting only seven games.
This potential move could provide Skipp with more regular playing opportunities while allowing Tottenham to reinforce their squad as needed.
