Tottenham Hotspur are looking to improve their attacking options with the signing of Johan Bakayoko.
The 20-year-old Belgian winger has been outstanding for PSV Eindhoven so far this season and he has four goals and 12 assists to his name across all competitions.
Tottenham are looking to compete with Premier League rivals Brentford in the race to secure his signature. A report from Football Insider claims that the two Premier League clubs could look to make a move for him in January.
Tottenham need to bring in attacking reinforcements, especially with players like Richarlison, Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon sidelined with injuries. Tottenham need more depth in their attack and Bakayoko will add pace, flair and goals to the side.
The 20-year-old has the attributes to develop into a top-class attacker and he could be a solid long-term investment for the North London club. Bakayoko is naturally a right-sided winger, but he is versatile enough to operate on either flank. He could be an asset for Tottenham in the long run if he manages to fulfil his potential.
It remains to be seen whether the North London outfit can agree on a reasonable fee with PSV Eindhoven now. The Dutch outfit will want to hold onto their prized asset and they will not want to sell him midway through the season. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can convince them with a lucrative proposal in January.
