Tottenham prepares offer for star who scored brace against France at the Euros

Tottenham Hotspur is looking for a forward, whether it’s to replace Harry Kane are add some more offensive attack. One name that the London-based club is eyeing is SL Benfica forward Haris Seferovic. 

According to the Portuguese media outlet A Bola (via Sports Mole), Tottenham has expressed interest in the Switzerland international, and the door is open for a move to the Premier League. 

Other media outlets out of Portugal claim that despite the ongoing talks, there’s no offer on the table for the 29-year-old who is under contract with Benfica until 2024. 

Nonetheless, Tottenham appears to be equipping themselves, and the English club could make the first bid this week. Seferovic appeared in 48 fixtures for Benfica in 2020-21, where he scored 26 goals while registering three assists. 

Seferovic starred for Switzerland and scored three goals at the UEFA Euros, two of them coming in the upset victory over France in the Round of 16. When it comes to the cost, initially, Seferovic would only leave Benfica for at least €25-million; however, the Portuguese club is willing to lower its asking price.
