Tottenham Hotspur are considering a summer move for the Juventus defender Gleison Bremer.
Tottenham need to improve their defensive department this summer and the 26-year-old Brazilian could prove to be a quality acquisition.
Bremer has already established himself as a key player for the Italian club since joining them a year ago and he could prove to be a quality partner for Cristian Romero at the heart of Tottenham’s defence.
Spurs look quite vulnerable at the back this past season and they ended up conceding 63 goals in 38 league matches. They will have to tighten up at the back in order to get back into the top four and compete in the Champions League.
Ange Postecoglou needs to sign a quality central defender and Bremer certainly fits the profile.
It will be interesting to see if Juventus are prepared to let the player leave after just one season at the club.
A report from the Guardian claims that Tottenham have been keeping tabs on the defender’s situation, and they have admired him for over a year when he used to play for Torino.
The opportunity to join a Premier League club could be an attractive option for the Brazilian defender, but Spurs would have to agree on a fee with his club first.
The defender has a long-term contract with Juventus and the Italian outfit are under no pressure to sell him this summer.
It seems that Spurs might have to come forward with a lucrative offer in order to convince the Italian giants.
