Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
According to a report from Calciomercatoweb, Tottenham could make a late move for the Inter Milan midfielder before the January transfer window closes.
The 30-year-old is one of the best players in the Italian league and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for Tottenham.
The Londoners could certainly use more depth and quality in the middle of the park and Brozovic could improve them immensely.
The Croatian international has been a key player for club and country over a number of years and it remains to be seen whether the Italian giants are prepared to sanction his departure later today.
Apparently, Tottenham could offer around €25m for Brozovic. Meanwhile, they are not the only club looking to sign the Croatian international today and Italian outfit Juventus could make a move as well.
The arrival of Brozovic will allow Antonio Conte to rotate his key players like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur from time to time.
The Croatian international is an exceptional passer and he will provide defensive cover to the center backs as well.
He could partner the likes of Yves Bissouma at the heart of Tottenham’s midfield allowing the Italian manager to rest Bentancur and Hojbjerg and keep them fresh for the big games.
If Tottenham managed to sign the 30-year-old for €25m this month, it could prove to be a major bargain.
The Croatian remains a top-class player who has a number of years left at the top level and he could be an important player for Tottenham over the next few seasons.
