Tottenham plot summer move for midfield prodigy who was at Hotspur Way in December

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Hertha Berlin midfielder Boris Mamuzah Lum.

A report from the German publication BILD claims that the 16-year-old midfielder has already visited Tottenham to check on their facilities and the north. London club are hoping to secure his services in the coming months.

Lum is a player in demand and several top clubs, including Bayern Munich, Ajax and Barcelona are keen on securing his services.

The midfielder reportedly travelled to England with his mother after receiving an invitation from Tottenham. He attended their Premier League clash against Bournemouth in December as well.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are prepared to trigger his release clause at the end of the season. The midfielder has a €5 million out in his contract and Tottenham certainly afford to pay that.

The 16-year-old is a prodigious talent with a big future ahead of him and he could easily justify the investment in the coming seasons. Tottenham have placed special emphasis on signing talented young players and they have brought in a number of future prospects in recent months.

The 16-year-old defensive midfielder would be a quality, long-term acquisition as well. Lum is currently the captain of the Germany under-17 team.

He is expected to develop into a key player for club and country with the right guidance and a move to Tottenham will be an exciting opportunity for him. It would certainly be a major step up in his career and he will look to prove himself in English football.
