Tottenham player who was told he could leave, called up to first-team training after Conte exit

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur parted ways with manager Antonio Conte recently after his explosive interview criticising the players.

The north London club are yet to appoint a long-term replacement for the Italian manager and Cristian Stellini has been named as the acting head coach until the end of the season.

It seems that the interim Tottenham manager has now called up youngster Dante Cassanova to first-team training ahead of Tottenham’s trip to Everton on Monday night.

Earlier this season, there were reports that Tottenham have told the 18-year-old midfielder to find a new club at the end of the season.

Cassanova was highly rated at the north London club but his progress has been hampered by injuries.

It is evident that Stellini is prepared to give the 18-year-old another shot at the north London club and it will be interesting to see whether Cassanova can prove his worth in training and force his way into the first team.

The highly talented youngster was spotted training with the first-team squad at Hotspur Way in a video from Sky Sports.

It remains to be seen whether the 18-year-old is included in the squad that is said to travel to Goodison Park for the game on Monday night.

It would be a massive opportunity for the youngster and he will be hoping to make an impression.

The 18-year-old certainly has the ability to succeed at the top level, but he needs to get over his injury issues if he wants to establish himself as a first-team player at Tottenham.
