Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.
The 29-year-old defender had an underwhelming campaign with Spurs last year and he was heavily criticised for his error-prone performances.
The defender has been linked with a move away from the club this summer and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham are prepared to cash in on him. Dier is in the final year of his contract and it makes sense for Spurs to sell the player now instead of losing him on a free transfer next year.
A report from Football Insider claims that Tottenham are currently in talks with Fulham regarding a player-plus-cash deal involving Dier. Apparently, they want to sign Tosin Adarabioyo from the London rivals.
Adarabioyo is in the final year of his contract with Fulham as well. Although they will not want to sell a key defender like him, Fulham are currently under pressure to cash in on the 25-year-old because of his contract situation.
🚨Fulham and Spurs have opened talks over a part-exchange deal involving Tosin Adarabioyo and Eric Dier.
🧩Both players are in the final year of their contracts at their respective clubs but could be set to move before the 1st September deadline.

The towering central defender could prove to be an upgrade on Dier and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can work out a player-plus-cash deal involving the two players.
With less than a week remaining in the summer transfer window, Tottenham will need to move swiftly in order to bring in the right reinforcements.
They were quite vulnerable defensively last season and they ended up conceding 63 goals in the league. Improving the defence should be the top priority and Adarabioyo would certainly help them tighten up at the back.
