Tottenham offered a choice of four Barcelona players including possibly Coutinho but there is a snag

Tottenham has been offered the chance to land up to four Barcelona players this summer, but those players would come at an interesting cost that Spurs are unwilling to pay.

Spurs will look to win a trophy or two next season, which would be Jose Mourinho’s first full campaign, so they are in need of top players.

Barcelona has recognised this and they are making some of their star players available to the Lilywhites, but there is a snag.

Standard Sports claims that the Catalans are willing to offer top quality players to Tottenham this summer and they may include Nelson Semedo, Ivan Rakitic, Samuel Umtiti and Philippe Coutinho, but only in exchange for a couple of players at Spurs and some cash.

The Standard reckons that the Catalans want Ryan Sessegnon and Tanguy Ndombele in exchange for these stars.

There is no real indication of how these swap deals would work, whether they would be done on an individual basis or in some mass transfer arrangement.

However, Tottenham is uninterested in doing a swap deal involving either player the same report claims.

Although both players have not been involved much in the first team since the restart, the club does apparently considers them a big part of their future.

Philippe Coutinho has been linked with a move to Spurs (GivemeSport), who have struggled with creativity in recent games, however, both clubs will have to reach an agreement that doesn’t involve any of the aforementioned Spurs players because the Lilywhites are not prepared to let them go.

This one seems a reasonable scenario because Barcelona are looking to offload players and at the same time bring new players in while under severe financial restrictions (Mirror) and it does seem that they have identified Tottenham as a club that they could do business with because of the same financial conditions.
