Tottenham told that an offer close to £30-40m for player with 12 goals & 13 assists could be accepted

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is having a stellar season

Tottenham Hotspur have been pursuing several players as they prepare for the upcoming summer transfer window.

Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is among the players said to high on the list of target on Spurs’ wish list, with the club expressing keen interest in securing his services.

The Lilywhites are eyeing the Englishman to bolster their midfield for next season, specially with the anticipated departure of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

However, according to Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, Leicester would only consider selling Dewsbury-Hall if they fail to secure promotion to the English top flight.

In the latest episode of Football Insider’s podcast, O’Rourke suggested that Leicester might entertain the idea of selling Dewsbury-Hall despite their potential promotion due to financial challenges.

He stated that the Foxes initially sought up to £40 million for the midfielder in the January transfer window, but may now consider offers ranging from £30 to £40 million in the summer.

Leicester challenging for direct promotion

The Foxes currently sit in 2nd place in the Championship table with 88 points, trailing Ipswich Town at the top and leading Leeds United by a single point.

With the prospects of returning to the Premier League looking bright for the East Midlands-based club, Enzo Maresca would be eager to keep one of their star performers in Dewsbury-Hall.

In the ongoing season, the 25-year-old has featured in 41 Championship matches, making a significant impact with 12 goals and 13 assists.

Tottenham have a good business relationship with Leicester

Tottenham’s history of positive dealings with Leicester could give them an edge in their pursuit of Dewsbury-Hall.

The club signed James Maddison from the Foxes in the summer, who made an instant impact at Tottenham until his injury in November. His form post injury has dipped but there is no denying the quality he possesses.

Meanwhile, Spurs sold Leicester Harry Winks who has been a key player in their impressive season in the Championship.
