Tottenham now eyeing 64-year-old as Conte’s replacement who is known for his attacking football

According to Calciomercatoweb, Tottenham Hotspur may be looking to replace current manager Antonio Conte with former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri this summer.

Conte’s contract with the club is set to expire and there have been no signs of progress in talks over a new deal.

The club is reportedly already searching for a replacement, with Sarri being one of the managers identified as a possible replacement.

Sarri is currently under contract with Lazio until 2025, but a summer offer from Spurs could entice him to return to England.

Sarri’s attacking style of play is a stark contrast to Conte’s often lackluster approach, and is something that would likely be welcomed by Spurs fans who are growing frustrated with Conte’s tactics.

Conte, however, is known for producing results and winning trophies, which is why many fans are willing to overlook his style of play as long as he delivers results.

However, if Conte does choose to leave the club this summer, a move for Sarri to Spurs becomes a ‘very plausible scenario’.

Maurizio Sarri managed Chelsea from 2018 to 2019 where implemented his attacking style of play, known as “Sarriball.”

He faced criticism for his inflexible tactics, but still managed to lead the team to a third-place finish in the Premier League and also won the Europa League.

Despite a mixed record at Chelsea, Sarri remains a respected coach and is still attractive to clubs due to his attacking style of play.

Meanwhile, AC Milan are reportedly interested in bringing Conte back to Italy as a replacement for Stefano Pioli.

Whatever the outcome, it seems like there is a high likelihood of changes in the managerial positions at both Tottenham and AC Milan this summer.
