Tottenham are keeping tabs on Boca Juniors midfielder Kevin Zenon as they assess potential reinforcements ahead of the January transfer window.

As reported by TBR Football, Spurs have shown interest in the Argentine player, who is also being monitored by Manchester United and other Premier League clubs.

While Tottenham bolstered their squad over the summer, they remain open to making further additions in the winter if the right opportunity presents itself.

Kevin Zenon: Argentina’s rising star wanted by Tottenham

Zenon, a standout performer for Boca Juniors, has emerged as one of the key players the Lilywhites are evaluating. The 23-year-old has been a pivotal figure for the Buenos Aires club, with Boca Juniors reportedly bracing for his possible exit in January.

His impressive displays have attracted attention from European clubs such as Atletico Madrid, Napoli, Atalanta, Lyon, and Sporting Lisbon.

Since joining Boca from Unión Santa Fe earlier this year for a fee of €3.2 million, Zenon has quickly become a valuable asset.

Last season, he scored four goals and assisted another seven across 38 appearances in all competitions, showcasing his versatility and attacking prowess on the left side of midfield. This took his over tally to 10 goals and 17 assists. (Transfermarkt)

The player’s current contract at Boca Juniors runs until June 2028, however, Zenón has a €15 million release clause which can be triggered anytime.

It was previously reported that Tottenham are weighing their options, with a potential move for the midfielder being considered either in the January transfer window or next summer.

He has risen to prominence in Argentina, after being scouted by Lionel Messi’s father, Jorge Messi, which has made him a highly sought-after player in the country.

Tottenham fans will be eager to see if the club can secure his signing, which would provide the squad with greater depth and versatility as the club aims to compete on multiple fronts under Postecoglou.

January transfer window could see a few ins and outs

While January is not expected to be a very busy one for Spurs, there could be a few ins and outs and Zenon could be one of them if the club decides to seriously make a pursuit.

Sergio Reguilon is another player who could be on the move in the upcoming window, with the North London club hoping to cash in on him to avoid losing him on a free next summer.

Jose Mourinho is said to be keen on signing him which could see Fenerbahce make a move for him in January.
