Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made a decision regarding the future of versatile midfielder Dante Cassanova.
According to a report from Football Insider, the 18-year-old midfielder could be on his way out of the London club at the end of his current contract.
Apparently, the player has been plagued with injuries this season and Spurs have run out of patience with him. They offered him an extension when his original two-year deal had expired in the simmer.
The Londoners felt that the youngster deserved another chance to prove himself and cement his place in the youth team. However, it has been a disappointing season for the player so far and he has been unable to get over his niggling injury issues. They are now ready to perform a U-turn and let the player find a new club.
Cassanova can play as a central defensive midfielder as well as a right-back. It will be interesting to see if he can find a club willing to give him the chance to prove his worth.
However, he will need to work on his fitness and get over his injury problems.
The 18-year-old was on loan at Derby County last term and it will be interesting to see if he can secure a move to the Championship. If he can stay fit, he could be a handy addition to most Championship clubs.
He was rated highly at Spurs and Cassanova has the potential to be a useful player for the lower division clubs.
