Tottenham Hotspur are making significant moves to reinforce their squad this summer, with recent reports indicating that the club has contacted AS Monaco regarding the potential signing of Brazilian right-back Vanderson.

With defender Emerson Royal expected to leave North London in this transfer window, Spurs have turned their attention to Vanderson as a suitable replacement.

Emerson Royal’s potential move to AC Milan has prompted Tottenham to seek a reliable alternative, and Vanderson has emerged as a top target.

According to Brazilian outlet Trivela, Tottenham have identified Vanderson as a key player to provide depth and competition for Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie.

While no formal offer has been made, the Lilywhites have made contact with Monaco to understand the terms necessary to secure the Brazilian defender’s transfer. The report also claims that the player dreams of playing in the English top-tier.

Vanderson, with his versatility and defensive prowess, fits the profile of a dynamic player capable of enhancing Spurs’ backline.

The 23-year-old Vanderson joined Monaco from Gremio for a reported fee of €11 million in January 2022.

His contract with the French club extends until June 2027, reflecting his value to the team. Vanderson has demonstrated his versatility, excelling both as a right-back and a right wing-back.

In Ligue 1 last season, Vanderson made 23 appearances, contributing three goals and one assist, showcasing his ability to support both defensive and attacking plays.

His impressive performances have also earned him recognition on the international stage with the Brazil national team.
