Tottenham looking at Bundesliga ace with just a year left on his contract

Bild via Inside Futbol claims that Tottenham is interested in signing Mainz striker, Robin Quaison.

The Swede has been one of the club’s key players for some time now, and he scored 13 league goals for them in the just-concluded season.

Quaison has entered the final year of his current deal at the club and they have been looking to tie him down to a new deal.

He has, however, made it clear to them that he will not be extending his contract at the club, claims the same report.

Tottenham has been looking for a new striker to act as a backup to Harry Kane for some time now.

The Lilywhites have suffered in Kane’s absence and Jose Mourinho wants to address that in this transfer window.

They have been linked with a move for several strikers, but Quaison is the latest.

The report claims that Mainz is aware of Tottenham’s interest, but they want to play hardball over the transfer despite the obvious fact that he can leave them for nothing after next season.

The Swedish forward joined the German side in 2017 and he has told them that he feels this is the right time for him to take the step up to a bigger team.
