Tottenham linked with some very smart strikers

The summer in football is the most frenetic time of year, transfer windows were introduced as part of a compromise agreement with the European Commission about how the whole transfer system worked and how it could best preserve contractual stability for both the player and the club while allowing movement at prescribed times during the year – the summer and winter transfer windows in effect!

Players and fans won’t spend every moment monitoring the football transfer business. It’s also the summer and that means spending time with family, and friends and enjoying some proper fun downtime. So what might Tottenham achieve in the market, this time around? One suggestion might be popular with fans and support the club’s need to control the home-grown quota within the squad. Spurs have been tipped to land a top European talent for £35 million less than his current escape clause as Ange Postecoglou looks to revamp his first-team squad this summer. A hugely underwhelming run-in saw us finish fifth in the Premier League when it looked for some time that they would secure a Champions League spot, but we didn’t.

Spurs need more in attack. Numerous choices have been tipped, and among them is Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke. The former Liverpool striker had an outstanding season, finishing as the joint-fourth top scorer in the league alongside Phil Foden and Ollie Watkins. Solanke scored 19 goals and provided 3 assists in his 38 league appearances. Despite not making England’s provisional squad for the Euros, Solanke’s goal-scoring ability surely makes him a strong candidate for the Lilywhites.

Among the names linked with a move to North London is VfB Stuttgart’s star striker, Serhou Guirassy. Guirassy, who is contracted with Stuttgart until June 2026, joined the German club last summer from Stade Rennais for a fee of a mere €9 million.

His stellar performance in the recently concluded season has caught the attention of several top clubs.

The 28-year-old forward has been outstanding, scoring 28 goals in 28 league appearances, making him one of the top scorers not only in the Bundesliga but also across Europe’s Big 5 leagues. He trails only Harry Kane and surpasses renowned attackers like Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé.

That said, Richarlison’s recent Instagram post has raised eyebrows amid speculations about his future.

Despite his recent resurgence, rumours of a potential departure have continued to swirl around Richarlison, with reports suggesting that Spurs could be open to selling him if a tempting offer comes their way.

Interest from several Saudi clubs has added fuel to the fire, with potential suitors reportedly willing to spend a substantial amount, potentially allowing Tottenham to recoup the hefty sum they invested in the Brazilian. Is the Tottenham attacker hinting at a potential move, or just fooling around? Only time will tell.
