Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a number of defenders in recent months and the latest name linked with a move to the London club is that of Max Kilman.
The 25-year-old defender has done quite well for Wolverhampton Wanderers and he could prove to be a useful acquisition for Tottenham. Antonio Conte needs to add more quality and depth to his defence and Kilman could partner with Cristian Romero at the back next season.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Tottenham like the player and Kilman could be on the move at the end of the season.
While talking about potential defensive signings, Jacobs said to CaughtOffside: “Also keep an eye on Wolves’ Max Kilman, who Spurs like and could well be on the move at the end of the season”.
The opportunity to join Tottenham from wolves would be a major step up in the defender’s career and he is likely to be attracted to the idea.
Kilman has certainly proven his quality in the Premier League and he could make an immediate impact at Tottenham if the move goes through.
Tottenham have certainly improved a lot since the arrival of Antonio Conte but they will still need to plug a few gaps in their squad before they are ready to challenge for the league title. Signing a quality centre-back should be a top priority for them at the end of the season.
Conte has already addressed a major weakness with the signing of Pedro Porro from Sporting CP during the January window.
The London club should look to bring in a quality central midfielder at the end of the season as well.
