Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens.

The 20-year-old is highly rated across Europe and he has been linked with multiple Premier League clubs. According to a report from Football Insider, the winger could be available for a fee of around £40-50 million next summer.

Spurs have been linked with the player for a while now.

Dortmund are unwilling to sanction his departure during the January transfer window and therefore any club hoping to sign him will have to wait until the summer of 2025.

Gittens has established himself as an important player for the German club, and there is no doubt that he has the quality to thrive in English football as well. He could develop into a key player for Tottenham with the right guidance. The London club have already brought in a number of quality wingers in recent seasons, but they could certainly use more depth in that area. Richarlison has struggled with persistent injury problems and his performances have been mediocre. Son Heung-min is in his 30s and Tottenham must start planning for a future without him.

Tottenham could use Jamie Gittens

The 20-year-old winger would be a quality long-term investment for Tottenham if they can get the deal done. The reported asking price might seem like a premium right now, but Gittens has the quality to justify the investment in the long term. It remains to be seen whether Spurs follow up on their interest with an official proposal to sign the player in the coming months. They will face competition from clubs like Liverpool as well.

The opportunity to move to the Premier League will be quite exciting for the young winger and he will look to test himself in English football. Regular football in England could accelerate his development and help him fulfil his potential.
