Tottenham Hotspur are looking to improve their attacking options with the signing of Pedro Neto.
The 24-year-old has been a key player for Wolves, scoring three goals and picking up 11 assists across all competitions this season. His numbers are likely to improve when he is playing alongside top-quality attackers at a big club.
A report from Football Insider claims that he’s a player “almost every club in the big six” wants to sign. Naturally, Tottenham have joined the race as well.
Tottenham could certainly use more quality in the wide areas and someone like Neto could help them open up deep defences with his pace and trickery. His ability to take on defenders and create goalscoring opportunities in the final third could make a big difference for Tottenham.
The North London outfit will face competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Newcastle United. Tottenham will not want to enter into a bidding war for the player and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
The North London club are still in transfer consultation with former director Fabio Paratici and the Italian is reportedly blown away by the winger’s performances. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can sign the player for a reasonable fee in the summer.
The 24-year-old will be attracted to the idea of playing for a bigger club and Tottenham could be an exciting opportunity for him, especially if they can secure Champions League qualification.
