Tottenham keen on 22-yr-old defender who can be signed for €6m

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign the Spezia defender Jakub Kiwior at the end of the season.

A report from Fichajes claims that the 22-year-old defender has caught the attention of the London club with his performances for the Italian club this season. Apparently, Premier League rivals West Ham United are keen on securing his services as well.

The 22-year-old centre-back is highly rated in Italian football and he has a bright future ahead of him. A move to Tottenham would accelerate his development and help him improve as a player.

Antonio Conte needs to add more quality and depth to his defensive unit and the 22-year-old could be a solid, long-term addition to the London club. If he manages to adapt to the Premier League quickly, he could partner Cristian Romero at the heart of Tottenham’s defence.

The London club have used players like Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and Clement Lenglet as partners for the Argentine international, but none of them have been convincing so far. All three defenders have been inconsistent and error-prone.

Bringing in a quality centre-back should be Tottenham’s top priority in the coming months and Kiwior seems like an ideal fit for them.

Working with a manager like Antonio Conte could help the player improve further and he certainly has the potential to thrive at the highest level.

The opportunity to join a Premier League club is likely to be a tempting proposition and Kiwior will find it hard to turn down Tottenham if they come forward with an offer in the coming months.

The player is likely to cost just €6 million.
