Tottenham keen on €100m-rated Man United, Chelsea target with 25 goals last season

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in acquiring the services of Chelsea and Manchester United target Evanilson.

While Ange Postecoglou has had an impressive start to life in North London, the Australian seeks more firepower before the start of next season. He wants a top-quality striker to lead the line for Tottenham and according to Jornal de Notícias via SportWitness, Spurs are keen on having Manchester United and Chelsea target Evanilson in their squad.

The FC Porto striker has only gone from strength to strength in recent seasons and there is no shortage of interest in his services. The 24-year-old found the back of the net on 25 occasions and also had seven assists last season. On the back of his impressive displays in front of goal, he was recently handed his Brazil debut.

With the striker making his first appearance for his national team, Porto may now look for a bigger fee for the former Tombense star who is protected by a €100m release clause and is on the wishlist of multiple English clubs.

Manchester United are looking at him as someone who can support Rasmus Hojlund up top while Chelsea are also interested as they look to bring in a proven goal scorer. Chelsea signed Nicolas Jackson last summer and he has been quite underwhelming. But, they will face serious competition from Spurs who are desperate to have a new number nine leading their attack next season.

It will be interesting to see if the three clubs submit an offer for the Brazilian international soon.

Tottenham might have managed without signing a Harry Kane replacement last summer but Postecoglou feels the need for an out-and-out number nine and Evanilson is quite high on their wishlist. But, they will have to move fast as Porto’s demands could rise even higher depending on his performances at the Copa America.
