Tottenham intensify efforts to reinforce key area, Paratici already at work

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign a quality striker at the end of the season.

A report from Football Insider claims that they are stepping up efforts to sign a marquee attacker and former managing director Fabio Paratici has already begun laying the groundwork. The Italian continues to assist Spurs on a consultancy basis and it remains to be seen whether he can help the North London outfit bring in a quality striker.

Tottenham are looking to unearth the next Harry Kane and it will be interesting to see who they end up signing. They chose not to replace the England international who left the club at the start of the season. They have been overly dependent on Son Heung-min for goals so far.

Richarlison has also stepped up in recent weeks. However, there is no doubt that they need a more reliable goalscorer at their disposal. Tottenham have been linked with several attackers recently, including the likes of Ivan Toney from Brentford.

The North London side are currently pushing for Champions League qualification and they will be an attractive destination for quality players if they manage to finish in the top four.

Tottenham have put together an exciting squad under their new manager Ange Postecoglou. With a couple of intelligent additions in the summer, there is no reason why they cannot push for major trophies next season. Signing a striker should be one of their priorities and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
