“Keep an eye on him” – Club insider raves about another Tottenham youngster with 8 goal contributions in 6 games

Tottenham fans have been urged by John Wenham to follow the development of 16-year-old Lucá Williams-Barnett closely.

The English youngster has been turning heads with his performances for the club’s Under-18 side.

Wenham, a prominent figure in the Spurs community and host of the Lilywhite Rose podcast, expressed admiration for how quickly Williams-Barnett has adapted to playing at a higher level.

Despite being younger than most of his teammates, the teenager has seamlessly integrated into the Under-18 squad and has made a significant impact.

What makes his rise even more impressive is that Williams-Barnett is still a schoolboy player and will officially become part of the Under-18s next season when he signs a scholarship.

Wenham also highlighted the youngster’s versatility, noting that Williams-Barnett excels both as a winger and in the number 10 role, adding to his value as a dynamic and creative player.

Speaking to Tottenham News, the club insider remarked:

“What people need to remember, is he is actually playing a year up.

“Therefore, he isn’t even an official Under-18s player, he is still a schoolboy player. As a result, he will be announced in next year’s intake if he signs a scholarship.

“He is heavily regarded because he can play equally as well on the wing as he can in the number 10 position. He’s a very gifted technical footballer.

“It has been fantastic to see him step up with ease, he is starting every game and making a really positive contribution. Spurs fans should keep an eye on him at youth level.”

One of his recent highlights was a hat-trick in Tottenham’s thrilling 4-3 win over Manchester United in the Under-18 Premier League Cup.

With six goals and two assists in just six appearances this season, Williams-Barnett’s performances have been nothing short of impressive.

In addition to his success at Tottenham, he has also represented England at the youth level, recently featuring for the U17 national team.

As Williams-Barnett continues to develop, Spurs fans will be excited to see how this young talent progresses in the coming years.
