3 Out And 3 Late Fitness Tests Ahead Of Tomorrow’s Villa vs Spurs Clash

The Tottenham players must be feeling somewhat relieved that fans aren’t allowed into stadiums this season. The reactions online have been angry, to put it mildly and were it not for the COVID restrictions more generally I could see protest outside the stadium. I don’t believe ENIC how restless and frankly hurt people have become. And while we’re on the point, Mr. Levy may wish to consider his position before making any statements or decisions as the ‘white noise’ element of fans who think a change of manager would improve matters appears to be dwindling even in the unchecked melting pot of social media.

For tomorrow’s clash, Tottenham will be without Sonny who is still in rehabilitation for his thigh injury. Erik Lamela is obviously suspended.

For Aston Villa, Jack Grealish will take a late fitness test on Sunday morning. Villa gaffer Dean Smith told Physioroom: “I’m hopeful for Jack. I’ll leave it until Sunday AM. He’s not trained with us, but he’s pain-free, and he’s running. Ultimately, it will be his decision.”

Further late fitness tests await Kortney Hause and Bertrand Isidore Traoré. Wesley Moraes Ferreira da Silva is ruled out with a kneed injury.

This is Spurs’ first game against Aston Villa this season and one that requires some players to take a long hard look at themselves – nothing else. We shall see, if against a Premier League side just beneath us in the table, if they have anything to add to the damaging washout of their last two performances.
